Greater Family Health began proving quality, affordable health care services at Slade Health Center in May of 2009. Formally Sherman Hospital, the opening of Slade Health Center proved to be a great opportunity to bring needed primary care services to the greater Elgin area.
The complete transformation of Slade Health Center emphasizes Greater Family Health’s commitment to providing quality care, at state-of-the-art facilities, for maximum efficiency.
Phase one of the project was completed in January 2014 with the relocation of Greater Family Health’s business offices into the newly remodeled space. Our new business offices includes work areas for billing, accounting, human resources, performance improvement, marketing, IT and family case management, as well as a conference room, lunch room and space for In Person Counselors. This renovation has also included the relocation and expansion of the call center. The increased size of the call center will allow for the addition of multiple call center staff, ultimately allowing us to answer our patients’ calls even faster.
