Greater Family Health Successfully Completes 5th Unannounced Joint Commission Survey

On June 26th, 2019 the nation’s premier body for assessing the quality and safety of care provided to patients fully renewed Greater Family Health’s accreditation for Ambulatory Care and re-certified Greater Family Health as a Primary Care Medical Home, recognizing our continued excellence in the provision of quality care.

In addition to our full accreditation and re-certification, we were also determined to be fully compliant with all the National Patient Safety Goals!

The Joint Commission measures Health Center performance against more than 250 ambulatory care Standards with over 1,000 Elements of Performance. The survey was conducted by 2 surveyors and 1 observer, with each surveyor having over 15 years of experience with The Joint Commission surveying organizations like Greater Family Health. The surveyors repeatedly commented on Greater Family Health’s ongoing ‘great work’, beautiful facilities, warm and helpful staff.

The surveyors were also very complimentary of our staff’s understanding of ‘why’ we do the things that we do. They repeatedly noted the obvious compassion, pride, dedication and commitment of Greater Family Health’s professionals, with clear evidence of the collective embracing our mission and values.

The outcome of this past Joint Commission survey is a testament to Greater Family Health’s commitment to excellence and quality. We thank all our staff for working hard every day to consistently implement our policies and ensure that we are achieving our mission of providing quality and affordable health care for all, including those without the ability to pay.
