A Very Merry Winter Wonderland – Greater Family Health and NCH Continue Their Holiday Tradition of Giving Back to Patients!

On Tuesday, December 21st, 2022, and Wednesday, December 22nd, 2022, Greater Family Health and Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) partnered to host Winter Wonderland.

Winter Wonderland has become a holiday tradition for Greater Family Health and NCH, bringing together Greater Family Health patients and their families to enjoy a night centered around the spirit of holiday joy, giving back and family. This is the sixth Winter Wonderland event for patients at our Health Center in Wheeling and the first at our Health Center located at Palatine.

This holiday gathering included holiday-themed activities led by Greater Family Health staff members, such as ornament decorating, bingo, coloring, and craft making.

Hundreds of gifts for children of all ages, all of them donated and wrapped by professionals of Northwest Community Healthcare, were available to child attendees.  Every child received at least one gift, with all customized to their age and sex.

“The combination of the exceptional generosity of those associated with NCH, donating thousands of gifts and actively organizing the events and distributing the gifts, and the creative activities and warmth of Greater Family Health employees made both events so fun and memorable for all attendees’ stated Bob Tanner, President/CEO of Greater Family Health.

The evening concluded with each child and family member receiving delicious treats, wrapped gifts, winter jackets, and a photo with Santa Claus.

“This is our [second] time coming to this event. We looked forward to it this year because the kids had such a great time. They loved their crafts, their presents, and their picture with Santa. Thank you to everyone who helped put this event together,” said a parent.

Greater Family Health values NCH’s cooperation and donations, both of which are essential to the success of this event for our families. We look forward to creating more fantastic holiday memories in the future!
