Greater Family Health Attends National Association of Community Health Centers’ (NACHC) Annual Policy & Issues Forum

Greater Family Health leadership attended the National Association of Community Health Centers’ (NACHC) annual Policy & Issues Forum in Washington, DC.  Ending on March 11, 2023, the Forum serves as a gathering point and learning center for community health center advocates, professionals, and board members from throughout the United States and its territories.

Greater Family Health professionals attending were President/Chief Executive Officer Bob Tanner, Chief Operations Officer Lupe Fonseca, Board Chair-Elect Lizette Leanos, and Board Member Nimra Khan.  

During the Forum, this delegation also engaged in planned advocacy with several Members of the US House of Representatives, focusing on multi-year funding for Communities Health Centers and the workforce required to implement that funding, as well as clarifying legislation that will alleviate funding reductions as a result of varying interpretations of the 340B federal drug program and its covered entities.

Greater Family Health’s leadership met with Congresswoman Lauren Underwood, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, Congressman Bill Foster, Congressman Brad Schneider, and Congressman Mike Quigley. These Members are renowned for their unwavering and remarkable support of community health centers nationwide, as demonstrated by their recognition with the 2023 Distinguished Community Health Advocate Award by NACHC.
