3rd Annual Greater Family Health SPIRIT Day and Winners of SPIRIT of Excellence Awards Announced

Although our minds continue to be preoccupied with the COVID-19 pandemic, on July 22nd, 2020 Greater Family Health took some time to celebrate our employees for their excellence, commitment and dedication to our mission during our 3rd Annual Greater Family Health SPIRIT Day.

This year our SPIRIT Day looked a bit different from those in the past. However, it was still a special day for our team, celebrating each other and enjoying a delicious socially distanced lunch at each of our 9 Community Health Centers. While we missed celebrating via a family picnic as Greater Family Health has done in past years, many of our employees enjoyed our temperature-regulated lunchrooms – and we didn’t have to worry about heavy rain ruining the fun!

During our celebration, the winners of Greater Family Health’s employee recognition program, SPIRIT of Excellence, were announced and introduced by members of Greater Family Health’s SPIRIT of Excellence Committee. A brief program took place at Greater Family Health’s Greater Family Health and Dental Clinic, which was live streamed to all Greater Family Health Health Centers, where our colleagues also joined in the celebration and enjoyed a delicious lunch.

Our SPIRIT of Excellence program offers Greater Family Health patients and staff an opportunity to nominate Greater Family Health employees who have made a positive difference and who have demonstrated one or more of Greater Family Health’s organizational values: Mission, Reputation, Quality, Leadership, Communication and Teamwork.

During the SPIRIT Day celebration, Greater Family Health’s President and CEO, Bob Tanner, congratulated this year’s winners and thanked staff for their work as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. He reiterated to them that they are the reason why Greater Family Health continues to provide excellent quality and affordable health care services in all the communities we serve, and encouraged them to keep up the good work.
