This month, Greater Family Health celebrates the first anniversary of its Health Center in Palatine, Illinois. The primary health care facility, located at 345 W Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL, opened on March 7th, 2022.
The Health Center offers various medical services, including adult and senior care, pediatric care, obstetrical care, gynecological care, immunizations, and behavioral health services. The facility also provides an on-site laboratory, translation services, care management, health benefits enrollment, and a sliding fee discount program. Additionally, the Health Center offers access to discounted medications for eligible patients, transportation assistance and reimbursement and accepts most insurance plans.
The Health Center in Palatine features eight examination rooms, one behavioral health office, six practitioners and a full-service laboratory operated by LabCorp.
In Calendar Year 2022, Greater Family Health’s site in Palatine served 3,975 patients who experienced 8,129 visits. Of these visits, 7,838 were for medical services, while the remaining 291 were for mental health services.
The patient population cared for was predominantly female, with 61% of the Health Center’s patients being female. The age group with the highest number of patients was 0-17 years old, with 1,196 patients, followed by the 18-29 age group, with 824 patients.
Regarding insurance coverage, 1,479 patients were uninsured, while 2,011 had Medicaid and 50 had Medicare. 435 Palatine patients were insured via commercial insurance.
Regarding patient satisfaction, throughout CY 2022:
- 95% of Palatine patients said they received a timely appointment
- 95% of patients said their medical needs were adequately addressed during their appointment.
- 96% were satisfied with their healthcare provider.
Greater Family Health has formed a strong alliance with many community leaders in the Palatine area, including the Northwest Community Hospital Foundation, which generously contributed resources to support the renovation and equipping of our Palatine location. Furthermore, Greater Family Health has expanded its annual Winter Wonderland event to Palatine, in collaboration with Northwest Community Hospital, beyond just our location in Wheeling. Winter Wonderland is a beloved holiday tradition that brings Greater Family Health patients and their families together for an evening of joy, giving, and family-centered activities.
