Dr. James Morris, EdD, LCPC, CCTP is a Chicago native and behavioral health professional with over 20 years of experience serving children, families, and communities across the Chicagoland area.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in applied psychology from Southern Illinois University, his master’s degree in clinical professional psychology from Roosevelt University, and his doctorate in counseling psychology and counselor education and supervision from Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. He completed both his predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Youth and Family Guidance Institute: Coaching, Counseling, and Diagnostics.

Driven by a commitment to expanding access to safe, high-quality behavioral healthcare to all, Dr. Morris brings a systems-informed, trauma-informed approach to his work. Outside of his professional roles, he is a musician/music enthusiast, youth soccer coach, and dedicated mentor who values meaningful connection and service to others.
