On Friday, December 21st, 2018 patients of Greater Family Health in Wheeling, IL celebrated Greater Family Health Christmas. This event is a collaboration between Northwest Community Healthcare and Greater Family Health, all due to the generosity of Northwest Community Healthcare and particularly those associated with the hospital’s Women’s and Children’s Services department.
During the event, children and their families made Christmas crafts, listened to Christmas stories read by Greater Family Health practitioners and staff, and enjoyed delicious treats. Children also received Christmas gifts and winter hats and gloves donated by Northwest Community Hospital staff and practitioners.
Before going home, children got a chance to meet Santa Claus and take a picture with him. Families also received a print out of their picture with Santa to take home. Parents were very appreciative of the gifts their children received and the children were exhilarated to have so many gifts to open on Christmas morning!
This year, more than 160 children received gifts during Greater Family Health Christmas. Greater Family Health is most thankful for NCH’s many contributions that made this event a success and we look forward to more successful Greater Family Health Christmases in the years to come.
