Greater Family Health Offers COVID-19 Vaccines for Kids Ages Five and Up; Boosters for All Fully Vaccinated Adults

Greater Family Health is now offering COVID-19 vaccines for kids ages 5 and up, as well as COVID-19 boosters for all fully vaccinated adults.

The following COVID-19 vaccinations are available at Greater Family Health locations:

  •  Moderna, Pfizer and Janssen vaccine for ages 12 and up
  • Adult Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen booster for ages 18 and up
  • Pediatric Pfizer vaccine for ages 5-11

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently expanded eligibility for COVID-19 booster shots to all adults. People aged 18 years and older who received Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines may get a booster six months after completion of their primary vaccination series. People who received the primary series for Janssen may get a booster after 2 months.

Children ages 5-11 are also now eligible to receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. They will receive a separate vaccine formulation with a smaller needle.

“Greater Family Health continues to engage an essential role in the fight against COVID-19,” said Bob Tanner, Greater Family Health President and CEO. “At the beginning of the pandemic, we began administering COVID-19 tests, while later adding LabCorp’s antibody test and Abbott’s BinaxNOW rapid test. Virtual visits were rapidly expanded at all nine Health Centers to facilitate the provision of essential health care services during the pandemic. Our Health Centers also initially began administering vaccines for eligible patients as soon as supply was available.”

Vaccination appointments are available Monday to Saturday, with Health Center appointment times varying across locations. Make an appointment at a Greater Family Health location near you by calling 844-599-3700. For commonly asked questions about the COVID-19 vaccines and boosters, click HERE.
